Let the Show Trials Begin

For all you authoritarian lefties scampering about and cackling with glee as the overlords of technology initiate their plan to erase Donald Trump.  For all you pols, Democrat and yes, Republican, who think that by eradicating all trace of the man your problems will ease and your path to permanent power will become smoother. For all you totalitarians out there itching to punish anyone who had the effrontery to serve in Trump’s administration:  here’s a thought;  you will not find it pleasant.

You may drive Donald Trump from the sewer than is our nation’s capital. You may try to eradicate his accomplishments, and they were many. You may engage in further unjustified prosecutions to punish him and his family for the effrontery of challenging the bureaucratic state. You may try to wipe his memory and his name from the nation’s history;  salt his grave like Scipio after he dies;  seek to suppress any mention of him;  make him an unperson. None of that means you have won.

Trump’s followers will not simply melt away, because the conditions that made them abide. Those conditions will doubtless be worsened by a Biden-Harris administration which will quickly accommodate itself to the demands of the America-hating hard left currently controlling the Democrat party, and to the whims of the Overlords of Technology, to who it owes its power. And the American people be damned, especially the millions who followed the first man in more than half a century who really listened to them.  No, these will not simply evaporate because the hidden tyrants wish it so;  and like the John Silver of “Black Sails” fame, they have “…a long fucking memory.”

Donald Trump was never the problem you thought he was.  He was the foremost symptom of the deadly problem that besets our nation: you, and the creatures you have created.

So long as America’s leaders, the elite in government and business, despise the people they lead, our nation is in peril.  So long as they love power more than the country, they present not salvation, but danger. So long as they berate and insult rather than converse and seek to understand those who neither live, nor think, nor speak, nor believe as they do, ours will be a nation divided and weak.  Our enemies, and we have them, could not be happier with the swamp creatures who would be our kings and petty tyrants;  in them, they have their perfect useful idiots.

No. This is not nearly over.  No matter how much you wish it were.
